'What can we do when Trove runs out?'
Australian newspapers and substitutes after the 1950s: 'What can we do when Trove runs out?' When the wonderful Trove Digitised Newspapers project began more than a decade ago, the only newspapers available via Trove were those published up to 1954 for copyright reasons. Though the Trove collection now includes some more recent newspapers, some of the major titles are still only available up to 1954. We have come to rely on Trove Digitised newspapers to enrich our research, but what can we do 'when Trove runs out?' Sue Reid will demonstrate some alternative sources you can use to find birth, deaths, and marriages after 1954. Trove Newspapers - Keeping track of your research When searching on Trove Digitised Newspapers, it is good to know what articles we have already looked at and keep a record of them. This presentation will look at some of the features of Trove Digitised Newspapers that enable us to keep track of our research. We will look briefly at text correction and the benefits of having a Trove Account. |
