Hi, New & Rejoining Members
Your membership application has been processed and your membership card is now available for collection from the front desk.
All members are required to sign in and pay their $2.00 upon entrance. The small fee helps the Society purchase new items for members.
For insurance and fire roll call purposes, members are asked to "sign in" and "sign out" when they visit the Society's rooms.
If you have not yet had a tour of our rooms, please ask one of the room assistants on duty to show you around. Our room assistants all wear yellow badges so that they are easily distinguished from regular members. Your badge is red to identify you as a new member who may need some support

If you do not yet have your New Members Pack please ask a room assistant to give you one or you can print your own using the links below.
Your membership pack includes a parking permit and a wealth of information about how our rooms work, along with tips, instructions, and charts to help you get started. To download the PDF version, see below. |
The society sends a member only e-newsletter, Saplings, via email around mid-month. It keeps you informed about upcoming events, society news and helpful information regarding Genealogy/Family History.
If you do not receive your copy next month, please check your spam folder. However, adding the society's email to your address book should prevent this. |
The society regularly holds Beginners’ Classes, which are held twice a year and are free for members to attend.
We also have Special Interest Groups: Computer Users Group, DNA Group, Scottish Group and Legacy Family History Software Group. There is a small fee of $2.00 to attend. Dates and times for these events can be found on the society’s website, Events-Calendar page. www.goldcoastfhs.org.au/events-calendar |

Our Library Assistants are only too happy to help you with your family history research/journey. However, they are volunteers and cannot do your research for you; their role is to guide, make suggestions, and bounce ideas off. The joy of discovery is yours to experience. |
As a society, we rely on our volunteers; a whole team of people keeps us going. If you would like to offer your skills and/or time, please feel free to get in touch. We would love to hear from you.
A copy of the Constitution is available in the rooms along with the minutes of the monthly Committee Meetings. |
