How can we be sure that our family trees are correct?

​Kerry Farmer will guide you through the process of unlocking the truth of your family history using DNA tests.

Kerry, will demonstrate how to verify family trees, group ancestors, find missing relatives, and identify which parts of your DNA were inherited from which ancestors.
Safeguard, "My Legacy"

Learn how to digitize and safeguard your family photos, documents, and research for future generations.

Kerry Farmer will showcase practical tools like scanners, AI, Zoom, and voice dictation to help you organize and preserve your family legacy.​

It includes photo and document scanning, AI, Zoom, Google photos, using voice dictation of diaries, creating a sort of offline websites that can be handed to the next generation on a USB stick, etc.

In other words, taking best advantage of what you have available.

Kerry Farmer
Kerry Farmer, has been teaching family history classes since 1997. With degrees in both science and the arts, she is a member of the Education Committee of the Society of Australian Genealogists, and a regular speaker at conferences and other events. 

​Kerry is also the Director of Australian Studies for the National Institute for Genealogical Studies, developing their course series ‘Certificate in Genealogical Studies – Australian Records’.
Kerry authored DNA for Genealogists (4th edn, 2017), Arrivals in Australia from 1788 (2015) and together with Rosemary Kopittke wrote Which Genealogy Program? (3rd edn, 2012) – all published by Unlock the Past.
